You can adjust your primary screen settings in the BIOS by navigating to the display configuration menu after booting up. Look for options related to screen priority or display order to ensure your new second monitor appears correctly.

BIOS functions at a very fundamental level and relies on two factors for screen detection. First, it follows the priority sequence of connectors. If your main display uses HDMI, it will appear last in the list. Generally, the order should be Display Port, then DVI, followed by VGA, and finally HDMI. If both monitors use the same connector, proceed by unplugging the second one and booting to the desktop. Power off the computer and then reconnect the second monitor. BIOS should then start in the correct display. Alternatively, you can rearrange the connectors.
