I'm really struggling. I can't reach the shared folder on my desktop from my laptop... I've been trying... Can someone assist me? My PC uses Windows 10 Pro with an Ethernet connection, and my laptop runs Windows 10 Home over Wi-Fi. We're using the same account on both devices. When I open TuringMachine on the desktop, it asks for my login details but the password isn't accepted. I need access to the folder I created on the E drive. I gave everyone full permissions in advanced sharing. I enabled network discovery and file and printer sharing through the sharing center. I set up automatic services like Function Discovery, UPnP, and SSDP. I also configured SMB 1.0/CIFS with local IP addresses. This works on Windows 10 Home, but not on my laptop. I only have a 120 GB SSD here.
