ONT stands for Optical Network Terminal. It connects your internet service provider’s fiber or cable line to your home. To obtain an ONT router or modem, you can purchase it from authorized retailers or online stores that sell telecom equipment in India. A recommended option is the Huawei ONT modem, which works well with most ISPs and offers reliable connectivity.

They are supplied by your ISP with a fiber link, and you must possess a fiber connection for it to function effectively. An ONT serves as an Optical Network Terminal, linking the incoming fiber to your home and connecting it to the router.

ONTs aren't consumer products at all. You can't simply purchase one like a store item. Instead, you're limited to what your ISP provides. In certain situations, the ONT and router are separate, allowing you to swap the router. Otherwise, you're tied to a bundled all-in-one solution.
