I set up Windows 10 on my MacBook Air only to discover the trackpad doesn’t perform nearly as well as it does in Mac OS. Trackpad++ worked fine on Windows 7, but I think they’ve updated it and you’d need to reinstall regularly unless you pay for it. I was thinking about using Windows mostly on my Mac if they had a better solution. There are other issues too—my display looks distorted possibly because of the resolution, and the battery life is poor. I also can’t modify Spartan’s search engine, which makes sense right now.

What is it not doing that is so different? Its probably because there is no driver for it.

Smooth navigation with two fingers for backward/forward, plus custom gestures for managing windows (such as launching Mission Control). Boot camp drivers are present and the interface is quite simple. It seems there might be an issue with the driver but it’s likely the solution lies in enabling Windows to communicate better with the system. Drivers by themselves won’t resolve it; a built-in feature or additional software would be necessary.

Gestures rely on the specific driver. Add the appropriate driver if available. Claiming an OS "doesn't require drivers" is a misunderstanding.

The issue isn't due to Microsoft's involvement; it falls on Apple to develop suitable drivers for Windows.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Didn't mention needing drivers or boot camp updates.
