You have two inquiries about upgrading your system. They mention downloading the upgrade and whether a clean installation is possible after using Windows 7 Ultimate, which has been outdated and slow.
The key is also visible on the sticker at the bottom of the laptop or on the desktop. Keys remain the same whether you install fresh or upgrade; upgrading simply means switching to a newer operating system while keeping your files intact. You can only upgrade to the same architecture—so if you have a 32-bit system, you can only upgrade to another 32-bit version. If you wanted 64-bit, you’d need a fresh installation, and vice versa. I don’t understand why someone would choose 32-bit over 64-bit.
It's possible to perform an upgrade installation smoothly without any problems.
