Only two GPUs are working together in SLI mode.
Hello! Your setup includes a 8700k 970 Evo Plus NVMe Intel Optane drive with 32GB storage in SLI HDDs. I see you've noticed your second GPU is only performing at double speed. This might be related to the NVMe interface and Optane's performance characteristics, or possibly how the chipset handles PCI lanes. You mentioned earlier upgrading to NVMe, but not paying attention to settings changes—those could have affected the outcome. Let me know if you'd like more details!
NVMe and Optane must leverage chipset lanes; try testing and confirm one GPU handles x16.
I managed to get them functioning at x8 once more. (Jedi Order and Galactic Empire seeming to cooperate again. haha) But I discovered another issue. During the gpuz test, the second GPU switched to PCI Gen 1.1 instead of staying on 3. Then I checked the sensors, and it looks like GPU 1 is experiencing voltage reliability problems, as noted in the "PerfCap Reason." It’s pretty odd since my PSU is an EVGA 1200W Titanium. Could it be something inside the GPU? This problem is affecting GPU 1—the one that was previously working well—not GPU 2.
