The Windows 10 update isn't a big deal. If you're really worried, reach out to Mojang, but honestly, the original game is way superior.

Designed for a broader audience, crossplay options with Xbox One and mobile versions are coming soon. It also performs exceptionally smoothly on any PC. Even my laptop struggles to run Java Minecraft with good frame rates.
