I received a 3090 and a 2070 on an ASUS TUF gaming X570-plus/BR (Brazilian version, no major differences). The 2070 functions properly in both the x16 slots and other x1 slots with or without the 1x riser. The 3090 only works in the top x16 slot (I’m using the x1 riser because of heat, and I use the 2070 for gaming, 3090 for mining and rendering). My setup includes: ASUS TUF X570-plus/BR with a Ryzen 7 2700 Crucial Ballistix downclocked to 3200 MHz CL14 (BL2K16G36C16U4R)

Did you adjust the PCIE Gen setting to a lower version? If it’s using auto mode, it should attempt communication over PCIe 4.0, but this may not function with most USB adapters you own.

It seems the problem is probably with the CPU supporting PCIe 4.0 while the chipset doesn't.

It's good news the issue is fixed. Just keep in mind potential problems with PCIe 3.0, as it might affect stability. Many users rely on PCIe 1.1 for USB adapters, because mining doesn't require that much speed.
