I enjoy making changes to games as a PC gamer, especially with Skyrim now at 80 GB. I’m planning to get into modding GTA V and I want to do it safely without getting banned. The only options I have are either using two separate game files—one modified and one original—or downloading a copy, modifying it until it breaks, and keeping the official version for play. I’d prefer not to do either of those. Any suggestions?

A few scripts were designed to restrict mods to singleplayer, blocking multiplayer access.

Hey there, Rockstar has confirmed they support singleplayer mods and warn against modifying multiplayer features. Their latest update reportedly introduced issues with singleplayer modding, though they claim it wasn't deliberate. The outcome of fixing that bug is still uncertain.

I rely on the niunMod Manager, but it doesn't function with mods you adjust in the OpenIV program.
