No, it does not need to be static, but you NEED to select the SPECIFIC RGB header within RGB Fusion. In his screenshots, he is selecting LED_C1 , and the other options (e.g. pulse / flash / color cycle, etc...) should be available. Also, can you post a screenshot of what YOU see in RGB Fusion?

Pulse, Flash, Double Flash, Colour Spectrum and Off are options available besides Static.

Checking the BIOS version compatible with your motherboard. Confirming whether you've obtained the newest RGB Fusion from the Gigabyte site or the one provided with the board's DVD.

Check for updates for your setup. The issue seems consistent across your Ds3H Mobo and Gammaxx L240v2.

Same issue with DS3H, no way to adjust brightness either. Haven't found any updates yet.
