Hello! I'm assembling my first computer. Everything functions perfectly until I power it up. It shows a black screen unless I switch off the power supply, let it sit for a short time, and then restart. Only then does it display the message. All components are recognized in the BIOS, and I can install Windows directly from it. However, when I try to boot from BIOS after a safe mode POST, it immediately returns to a black screen. Everything is brand new from the box. Here are the details of my build: CPU – Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz, 16-core processor; Cooler – Thermalright Assassin King SE ARGB 66.17 CFM; Motherboard – Asus PRIME Z790-P WIFI ATX LGA1700; RAM – G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30; SSD – Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME; GPU – MSI VENTUS 3X OC GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB; Power Supply – Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W, 80+ Gold certified, fully modular ATX.

By the way, don’t worry about the ‘no keyboard detected’ warning—I just didn’t connect it to capture the image. The issue persists no matter what.

Ensure all parts are properly placed and connections are complete. Have you noticed any problems with certain Samsung SSDs? Some might need a firmware update to avoid damage. Take a moment to verify if your unit is included in the affected group. It seems likely, though I’m not certain. Could be a power supply issue. Do you have another PSU you’d like to test? It should work fine, but faulty PSUs can behave oddly.
