I’ve faced some problems with my PC (details below) that I’ve tried to fix using all my experience, but nothing worked. The machine wouldn’t power on normally and would instead boot up with no display, showing a black screen. I searched online for solutions and found various suggestions, some useful and others not. Here’s what I’ve done so far. I can access the BIOS only when using just one stick of RAM. With that setup, I can force boot through the BIOS onto my SSD and open Windows. Now that I have 4GB of RAM, the system runs smoothly, but restarting or adding more RAM causes it to return to the black screen. The only way back to the BIOS is with a single stick of RAM and clearing the CMOS. I removed everything from the motherboard to check for damage—looking for burnt traces, swollen capacitors, bent pins, or leftover thermal paste on the CPU. I moved the SSD to another M.2 slot and updated the BIOS. Still nothing. If anyone has dealt with similar issues or advice, it would be really helpful. My next option is to take it to a repair shop for a more thorough check. Thanks.
