Updated the card in the slot and removed the bios battery for five seconds. It now functions properly. I’m still unsure what triggered the issue. I’ll wait until tomorrow to confirm it’s fixed, but I’m relieved now. Thanks.

Hi, I changed my BIOS a few days ago after the PC crashed multiple times (thought RAM instability at 5800MHz). I adjusted the RAM speed to 5600MHz. My wife played in the evening and the next day – the PC won’t boot. The VGA lights came on. When I connected the TV via HDMI to the motherboard, it worked and Windows booted, but the dedicated GPU wasn’t recognized.

I checked the BIOS and tried enabling the iGPU (the Asus MB setting was set to PCIe). After rebooting into BIOS, I deactivated the internal GPU before it turned grayed out and switched to “auto.” I disabled the iGPU and set the active GPU to PCIe. Restarting the PC with the cable in my RTX 4080 HDMI worked perfectly. I can play normally in Windows and enjoy the game as usual.

However, the next day the BIOS settings reset back to their original state – except for the ones I changed. My PC model is: INNO3D GeForce RTX 4080 iChill X3 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI 32GB (2x 16GB) G.Skill Flare EXPO X5 DDR5-6000 DIMM CL36-36-36-96 Dual Kit OS m.2 Samsung 970 EVO 500GB.
