Yesterday I purchased a used Asus Rog Strix 3090 (previously owned a 2080 Super) but bought another just in case. The issue is that during idle mode, one fan (the right one) continues spinning. All software reports center and side fans at 0%, yet one still runs. Previously, with my GPU I could run my PC without any fans spinning. Here are some screenshots and a video: https://imgur.com/a/dzUhP2G Sometimes the fan stops completely and then restarts when idle. With my old GPU, I was able to use the computer fully. For reference, here are the specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DrRKqR

But no fans spins without power. So I think there's nothing wrong with the hardware. How do you control your gpu fans ? Default, Afterburner or Fan Control ? Edited October 23, 2023 by leclod

The GPU runs smoothly at 27°C and 285Mhz, so I don’t need to run the fan. It’s not possible to adjust settings through software since none of them work. I’ve used GPU Tweak 3 and MSI AB without success.

Did you attempt to set a fan curve with Afterburner? Perhaps you can't reach 0% but might manage lower than 50% (I don’t know how GPUs handle multiple fans or curves). If that fails, try using Fan Control—it’s the most effective option. Edited October 23, 2023 by leclod

I used every type of program available, yet this particular fan remains unresponsive
