Hey there, I recently took apart my PC to make a few adjustments. While doing so, I also took out both RAM modules (Tforce Delta at 3200MHz CL16). When I powered on the system, both sticks briefly lit up, but one stopped working after a short time, even though they were set up in dual-channel mode. Windows only recognized one of them. I’ve checked that both still function properly in any dimming slot, but when both are inside the PC, one stick becomes non-responsive. If you keep them in dual channel, one stick only briefly lights and then turns off, while the other stays on. The other scenario—placing them side by side—works fine for both. Any advice would be appreciated! I haven’t cleared my CMOS yet, but I’ll post this to see how it affects things.

No, I haven't tried those configurations yet. Would you like me to do them now?

You mean positioning them in dual-channel mode recognizes one, while single-channel mode identifies both.

No, the situation was different. Clearing the CMOS and re-installing the RAM seemed to resolve the issue. I had a RAM stick outside my PC, shut it down, installed both properly, and cleared the CMOS. It’s unclear if reinstalling the RAM fixed it or clearing the CMOS did, but both sticks now work and are recognized by Windows. Thanks for the advice!

Start by clearing the RAM before connecting. This has caused issues several times on older setups.
