It seems your device runs smoothly at low settings for Rocket League but struggles with Terraria under similar conditions. The drop in performance might be due to differences in game complexity or resource usage.

It seems Rocket League at minimal will work fine on a potato, which is similar to the kind you find at a big discount store. Terraria also seems to handle it without issues since I've never run into any problems with it on compatible systems. Not sure what’s going on here though.

The only laptop I've had that works well for playing Terraria is one with a quad-core i7 processor and a GT 540M graphics card.

It would work well on the Q6600 and GTX660, as well as my older AMD-powered laptop. It seems it may simply require four processing units.

I didn’t run it directly, but I can guide you through the process. You’d need to install the game on your Chromebook and then launch it from the Chrome browser or the official app, ensuring it’s compatible with your device’s specs.

He likely used an x86 Chromebook with Steam installed via Windows or Linux. Not entirely sure.

The lights are set to retro mode, which is the sole factor influencing the outcome

Windows 10 64-bit was installed after swapping the SSD for a 64GB drive. The system launches extremely quickly, but the Windows loading area doesn’t even finish spinning once. It still struggles to maintain a consistent 60 frames per second.

It reminds me of what I’d enjoy doing without needing a bad school laptop, haha!
