I've been running just cause for about 15 minutes and it crashes, mentioning direct x.
I'm using a resolution of 1920x1080.
My PC specs are: GTX 1070ti with 8GB RAM, H110M-2SH motherboard, Intel i5 7400, and 16GB DDR4 memory.

I would modify your DirectX and GPU drivers as well and attempt it once more. I've played this game for roughly six hours in one session, switching tabs multiple times, yet it maintains good stability. The game receives minimal recognition for this.
