The Corsair 5000d came with a tiny controller, and both fans were connected to it. When you plug in the controller, only one fan starts spinning. You might need to adjust the settings or check the connection to resolve this issue.

Do you really need this controller? The motherboard headers could work better for flexibility.

This controller serves more than just linking two fans; it can also merge two fan cables into a single unit. You can indeed splice the cables together or use a Y-shaped splitter to combine them.

Is there more than two fan ports on the controller? Then connect the faulty fan elsewhere, if possible, otherwise rearrange the fan connections to test if the issue lies with the controller or the fan.
