Only once during each setup can I access Windows.
It's a surprisingly complex issue, more intricate than it seems. I purchased a used machine at a great price. Right away, I installed the Windrive and performed a fresh setup. After that, everything seemed to work smoothly. A few days later, my girlfriend came over and wanted to play Stardew 1.6. I thought I had everything ready for a perfect gaming session. But when I tried to start it, the screen went blank after the BIOS prompt while the loading animation appeared. The machine stayed on but didn't restart or display anything. In short, I've attempted various fixes—Windows repair via USB, command-line adjustments for MBR and bootrec, reinstalling multiple times, changing drives, swapping RAM, updating BIOS—and still faced challenges. Eventually, I discovered the problem might be related to whether Windows can boot from M.2 drives. It appears it boots normally on standard SATA but fails to appear in the BIOS as a UEFI option. When I changed drives, it worked initially, but after a fresh install, it would boot into Windows again, yet sometimes it wouldn't. I could enter safe mode occasionally, which helped, though I had to reset CMOS in BIOS to get there. Since I could access safe mode and the existing Windows drive functioned, I suspect the issue lies with how Windows recognizes or boots from certain storage configurations. This situation left me uncertain, as I thought I was on the right path several times before realizing my mistake.
