I’m setting up a mobile hotspot in your room to replace the school’s managed WAPs. These networks often become overloaded and shut down between midnight and 4 AM, which disrupts my IoT weather device and forces daily reconfiguration. I first attempted to use a Wyse Cx0 thin client with a Ralink card via Windows 7 ad hoc mode, then tried an Intel NUC with a Dell Wireless 1510 card on Windows 10 mobile hotspot. All four devices failed to connect, reporting “can’t connect.” However, the process succeeded on an older Pavilion DV3000 laptop equipped with an Intel Centrino 5100 AGN chip. What’s unusual is that this specific laptop doesn’t seem to have any special hardware differences.
Ignore it, TurboWLAN is no longer functioning... it doesn't work at all.
