Hello. I shared my recent issue about five days ago, but after that it hasn't improved much. Now I've been dealing with it for another five days, and the problem persists. I just got a new PC recently. At first everything worked well, but then things started to go wrong. I'm experiencing severe high ping issues specifically in CS:GO. It's not a rare occurrence—it happens consistently, not just during peak hours. My current ping is around 200 on my network, and the game freezes every second or two seconds for a fraction of a second. I've tried everything I could, but nothing seems to help. PC specs: i5 4690K @3.5GHz, 16GB DDR3 RAM, 1600MHz, MSI 4GB GTX960. Need more details? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Choose servers nearer your location. Wasn't the UK known for having some of Europe's poorest internet service?

I think it's pairing you with NA servers. You might want to ask someone in the game you play. Are you using a VPN?

You're in the UK. The nearest area in Steam settings is roughly 500 miles away. This situation hasn't happened before, or at least not this severe.

It seems like you're trying to convey that you might be similar to someone else, and you're not using a VPN.

It wouldn't be unexpected if we experienced one of the poorest connections. The nearest server is roughly 500 miles away from me. Only two are available in the UK, with the closest being about 500 miles distant.

Matchmaking Server Picker is available on GameBanana. Avoid downloading it from other sites, as there could be scam attempts. I’ve received many positive responses from Greece, and it appears I was playing in NA servers by chance. The MM server picker helped resolve my issue by checking my ping to various Valve servers and blocking unwanted connections.
