My 2080ti was running smoothly until I began using MSI Afterburner. It had been stable before, but now it's becoming quite finicky. The card works fine otherwise, except I need to reset the CMOS every time I boot up to fix post issues or avoid a VGA error. That's a bit annoying. I'm not sure what changes Afterburner made, but if I could reverse it, it would be helpful.
I gave it a shot just for fun, but it failed. Since it doesn’t show up online, it seems like a hardware issue—possibly firmware problems. I’m not sure how or why the MSI Afterburner would affect it.
I had to change keyboards to access the BIOS, which isn’t too big of a problem now, but if there’s a way to fix it would be great.
Disable CSM, use 4G decoding, and allow resizing of the bar. Ensure PCI devices are set to UEFI and boot mode remains exclusively UEFI. Save and restart to check if the problem resolves. If not, consider reflashing the card with a standard VBIOS, but verify it matches your card model.
Disabling CSM didn't resolve the issue. Above 4G decoding remains off by default. I don’t have a resizable bar. I’m using a 9th generation Intel processor. PCI devices run in UEFI mode by default. It might be time to reflash the card, though I’m hesitant because I worry it could brick it. The overclocking BIOS for the dual-boot isn’t loading at all right now, so if the standard one fails, that’s the end.
