I prepared my system with the following components: CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 3400G, GPU – Radeon Vega 11, RAM – Adata XPG 3000MHz CL16 (AX4U3000W4G16-BSZ), Motherboard – Asus Prime B450M, Power Supply – Corsair CX450, Cooling – Enermax Aquafusion 240MM. As the description suggests, I purchased the motherboard new from eBay after waiting eight days. When assembling everything, I encountered a problem where only one RAM stick would work, even after inserting two or three simultaneously. Switching a single stick to each slot resolved the issue. I updated the BIOS to version 2203, reset the CMOS, tried enabling D.O.C.P. for the listed memory speed (which caused multiple restarts before entering safe mode), and even swapped CPUs. Later, I moved to a Ryzen 3 1200 and Radeon R7 370, but the issue persisted. I also replaced the RAM with G.Skill Fortis (F4-2133C15Q-32GFT) without fixing the problem. I’m frustrated because I discarded the board before testing thoroughly, hoping it would work. I’m unsure if the issue lies in Asus software or faulty DIMM slots. I’m stuck and feel guilty for throwing it away.
