Hi everyone, My PC won't boot to Windows or Linux with DisplayPort, here is a list of things that do works I can boot into Safe Mode or Bios with DisplayPort (generic display driver) I can boot into anything with HDMI (any driver) Dummy DisplayPort dongles work in Windows (any driver) I was able to remotely get the DisplayPort work once this week by letting the ubuntu sleep for 2 hours randomly then went away on restart ? Here are some things I tried without success Updating drivers (laters NVIDIA and old ones) Uninstall with DDU and reinstall Reinstall Windows 11 latest version Update UEFI firmware of the GPU (updated succeeded) Latest BIOS on x570 Taichi Try other cables Try the GPU in the PC of my friend It is quite frustrating to be so close yet so far to have it work, it is not recognized by the OS except with dummy plugs, does anyone have any tips ?
It’s faulty. From what I see, there’s likely a small hardware issue, so replace it. You ended up with a mostly working 4090 that’s essentially nonfunctional.
It would have been difficult to obtain a sealed/new copy from a European seller with an original receipt, so I won’t be making any returns at the moment. I’ll keep using HDMI and remain hopeful it doesn’t fail further. Also worth mentioning, the DisplayPort functioned well for several months.
Seller no longer available—wonderful warranty regulations in Europe!
