Details: Intel ci5 4590 GA-H81M-DSV2 DDR3 RAM (2x4gb) without external GPU. I've encountered this issue for two days now. Normally my PC runs fine, but after connecting my Wi-Fi adapter suddenly a BSOD appears and the system starts automatic repairs. I've tried several times, then used the repair tool manually. Now whenever I turn on my PC it won't boot properly—only fans and lights work, keyboard, mouse, and display are dead. I realized something: removing or re-seating the RAM seems to fix the problem, even though the slots appear okay. After a restart it works, but shutting down again without re-seating the RAM causes it to fail. Anyone have any advice? I'm really stuck.

I attempted to disconnect the CMOS battery in order to refresh the BIOS settings.
