I assure you the B450 chipset is highly capable and strong. As mentioned earlier, I can handle speeds above 3733MHz without trouble, though it seems unusual that the CPU needs to exceed 4GHz.
It's crazy how hot it gets even at 90°, and when it's idle it's still around 50°, man.
At this price point it offers excellent value with solid audio performance and proper cooling. If you need higher frequencies on Samsung's B-Die RAM, pushing the CPU to 4.0GHz or more might be necessary. You could consider a better motherboard to handle that boost, which would likely solve the issue without affecting stability.
For this price you might have found a better MSI MAX board than the Asus TUF, are you certain you have the BIOS? The 3733 Patriot Viper steel kit is generally considered reliable. The motherboard could be the problem regarding memory speeds—make sure to check the latest BIOS updates.

I purchased a motherboard one year ago, and MAX hasn't updated it yet. MSI provides solid quality boards, but ASUS was a better fit for me back then due to its audio chip and familiar BIOS. Since MSI started simplifying or downgrading their BIOS, I didn’t want to revert to the 2010 style. The BIOS seems fully updated now—probably since February? I thought it helped until I realized there were no issues. It’s tough to say without testing another board, but the Patriot RAMs look strong in programs, though some say Hynix chips are better. They still use ALC892, not S1200A, so changing the board isn’t an option for me.
