Setting up my initial project on the Be quiet DB 700 is exciting. I need to connect several ports: two USB 3.2 Gen. 1 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen. 2 Type C port, and more. Most motherboards list only a few options that fit these requirements. It seems the USB 3.2 Gen. 2 model is the biggest hurdle, which is why I can easily find a B550 compatible board. I’m confident I can manage with a B550 for performance purposes, so an X570 might just be needed for the Type C connector. The most affordable boards that support these ports are the X570 models from Asus, Aorus, and MSI. Did I miss anything?

These systems include a Type C header. What components are you planning to use? Where will they be installed? What is your budget looking like?
Many motherboards support this feature, though it may not be labeled clearly. USB 3.2 Gen 2 functions identically to USB 3.1 Gen 2. You can also purchase an adapter cable that changes the standard USB 3.2 header to the required connector—though the new port supports 5G speeds.
