I own an i7-12700KF and a 4060ti that handles my games well, especially RDR2 which is likely the most demanding one. My GPU usage stays around 50% at about 60 degrees according to Task Manager, so I figured boosting performance would help. I run a 2-minute OBS instant replay continuously for quick clips, using x264 encoding. In RDR2 I consistently see high frame rates in the low 50s to mid 60s, but in mountainous areas it drops to around 30 FPS. GTA V maintains steady performance above 60 FPS with peaks near 80, while the jet benchmark stays solid at about 80 FPS. Most other titles like OW2 or Lethal Company are smooth above 100 FPS. I’ve maxed graphics on 1440p, assuming my setup could handle it. Is this just the upper limit or did I make a mistake with settings?

You seem to have limited hardware capabilities. It might just be a RAM constraint if you're using single-channel mode, or a power restriction. Running Intel's PresentMon during games could help identify the bottleneck more clearly.

I noticed your CPU usage stays low, often under 35%, and you have a solid 32 gigabytes of RAM (four 8GB modules). While exploring, I found others using the 4060Ti are achieving similar performance. I should have checked first—maybe I misconfigured something or missed a setting.

Examine each core separately. Certain games don't utilize multiple cores effectively, which can restrict performance if one core is fully occupied. I'd check PresentMon for this. CPU utilization near 50% seems insufficient.
