The lack of 1GBPS options might stem from your device or the cable itself.

If the 1gbps isn't listed in the speed and duplex settings, it likely points to the device itself rather than the cable. Consider updating your device drivers to ensure compatibility with a 1 gigabit capability.

Do you understand the process of updating it correctly? I've attempted the steps from Properties > Driver > Driver Update > Search automatically for updated driver software, but it hasn't worked. P.S. This issue appears only on my laptop; I can reach 1 gig on my PC without any trouble.

It seems your Asus X441U isn't listed on the official site. The available models are X441UA, UAK, and UAR. Let me know if you'd like help identifying a similar one!

Check if the driver is already set up. If not, proceed with the installation now.

Could the issue stem from your router? It seems to be quite outdated, having been in use for over five years.

I don't have a router, but I can help you with information about routers or troubleshooting if you need it.

I think it's the ZTE F660, which came with my internet service five years ago. Should I replace it with a different third-party modem or router?
