I'm not sure if everyone needs to create network diagrams. I discovered this site while working in networking without a technical background—it's very helpful and easy to use. https://www.draw.io/

Another tool your brother uses is Cisco Packet Tracer, perfect for newcomers to grasp IP assignment and router setup. Updated: Draw.io is a platform where you can arrange shapes and draw connections—no networking involved, just fun activities.

I’d treat it more as a testing or training resource rather than a drawing tool. Draw.io looks modern and powerful. Another option is https://www.gliffy.com which offers cloud-based solutions. Many users are shifting from Visio to tools like Draw.io for better network integration.
