I've saved it again and still find the game challenging—no one seems to know how to play it. Also, my missiles never exceed 200 damage even when I fire a lot... (LRM+SRM)

I used to enjoy the original MW titles, and Mechwarrior online is attempting to replicate that experience. Adjust your keyboard setup as you would in the classic games. Focus on aiming for arms, head, and legs. SRMs and LRMs are better suited for modules and deal more damage than single shots. Today's MW seems mainly played by dedicated enthusiasts who started early and will quickly target newcomers with this game because easy kills are too simple.

It's tough because the players who keep playing are extremely skilled and fully understand every detail of the game. Newcomers will always lose, especially in the first half of the matches. (based on personal experience) I quit trying and switched to the MW series games. Also, the community can sometimes feel a bit chaotic or unprofessional.

Team acts as cover while Meatshields provide protection. Even lights can quickly take down an assault class if you're skilled.
