I just wiped my computer clean tonight and put in the latest version of Windows. Before that, I used a Microsoft login, so everything was already linked to OneDrive. But this time, I wanted to skip using a Microsoft account entirely and sign up with something local instead. Since I'm making lots of backups for different reasons, I don't need my files synced online anymore.

After reinstalling Windows and signing in locally, I tried moving all my old stuff from the OneDrive folder into new folders on the drive like Documents or Pictures. But Windows won't let me do it! It says an error: "The Cloud File provider is not running."

Why bother keeping files local when I can't even move them around? Is there any way to get these files out without having to log in, go through OneDrive, or find a backup file?
