I recently installed a new PC about four months ago, and everything has been functioning smoothly. Last night around 2 AM, everything seemed to work perfectly. However, when I turned it on and performed an update, one of my front panel displays stopped working while the other remained functional. I suspect a driver issue, but I’m unsure how to resolve it. Additionally, when I connected my keyboard, no RGB lighting appeared and it didn’t respond. Anyone have any insights into what might be causing these problems? Thanks.

Could the USB connection from the front I/O be loose? I’ve experienced this with my USB-C—other ports worked fine, but the cable was only partially inserted. These connectors seem unstable, the cables are bulky, and they often slip or detach easily.

I verified each link and confirmed everything is powered on. It was functioning properly the previous evening, and I haven’t made any changes.

You checked everything to be sure, but it still didn’t work after a night. No physical contact with the PC. The only sign was an update when I powered it back on in the morning—it stopped functioning then. I’m not sure why, though; the light on the device seems to indicate something, but it’s really strange.

Verify your driver's status in Device Manager. Ensure it is functioning properly.

Everything is done and finished. Whenever I insert something, it shows up as a USB composite device. I realize it’s detecting it, but there’s nothing else. Could be an issue with my driver settings from 2006?

And as I mentioned, I have two USB 3 front panels—my case uses the NXT H7 Flow—and the second one is functioning too. It’s just the first one, but I’m confident it works when I connect my wireless headset. The dongle lights up green.

It seems to function with an external hard drive, but your headset and keyboard aren’t picking up. That’s unusual. Anyone have any suggestions?

your system runs on intel or amd, use device manager to remove usb devices individually. clearing them all will stop usb functionality. after removal, windows can search for missing drivers with a magnifying glass. also check the usb port visually for any damage or debris.

Intel and you mentioned earlier, my external hard drive functions perfectly, but when I connect my mouse, keyboard, or headset, it just doesn’t work. This is quite strange.
