I've been enjoying Planetside 2 heavily over the past year since discovering it. The realistic combined arms military setting appeals to me, but it lacks features for single-player campaigns, LAN multiplayer, or custom matchmaking between opponents. The last PC FPS offering these elements was Halo Combat Evolved years ago. Microsoft seems to have stopped developing the series on PC, so what alternatives exist? I've checked CSGO and TF2, but they don’t fit my preference for sci-fi or fiction shooters. The Borderlands series looks promising with campaigns and multiplayer options, though opinions vary on whether BL2 or the prequel is better. Are there other fictional FPS games that match these criteria?
Bl2 is an excellent game with an engaging narrative and solid campaigning, though it demands considerable teamwork and some strategic thinking. The prequel is also worth checking out—if you're interested in the series, give it a shot. I enjoyed the BL franchise and found it enjoyable.
Borderlands offers an engaging loot experience, perfect for fans of that genre. CO-OP plays a significant role, enhancing overall enjoyment.
