Windows 7 with those specifications should work smoothly. But switching to Windows 10 or various Linux systems will automatically fetch the right drivers during setup, provided you have a stable internet connection. You might still need to install certain drivers manually on Windows 7.

Windows 8.1 is an option you might consider. Extended support continues through 2023, possibly offering fewer bloatware items compared to Windows 10, and could run faster than Windows 7.
