I have a Lenovo G565 with an "Athlon II P340" CPU (2 cores / 2 threads) and 4GB of RAM. When playing movies using x265 or HEVC codec, the CPU runs at full capacity and the video appears as if it's moving very slowly. Is this issue related to the CPU itself, or could another factor be causing it? Could switching to a different CPU with more cores and threads help improve performance?

Are you certain the CPU can be upgraded in that specific laptop? It seems quite outdated, so I wouldn't anticipate anything extraordinary.

I believe I discovered CPUs compatible with certain motherboards, and I added an extra 2GB of RAM a few days back.
