I can confirm that every other component functions properly. The power supply, drives, and case were transferred, and I had been using the graphics card in the prior build for several weeks before the remaining parts arrived. A new (second-hand) CPU, motherboard, and RAM were installed. I relied on my friend’s known memory to rule out that as the problem, but even then it wouldn’t boot—fans were absent. I was desperate. The CPU appears flawless with no visible defects, and this is the second unit I’ve purchased since the first had bent pins that I wasn’t confident fixing. Given all this, what troubleshooting steps could help diagnose a motherboard issue? Since the seller posted images of it working, I suspect something might have gone wrong during setup. It all comes down to whether you can identify the issue correctly. Repairing faulty motherboards is achievable with the right skills and equipment (like a multimeter, soldering iron, or hot air rework station), though it might range from swapping out a simple capacitor to handling a complex BGA chip. If the board is completely nonfunctional, it may not be worth the effort. You didn’t mention if it was housed in a case, so if it is, remove it from the case and connect the power supply to test if it powers on.
