I reached out to Microsoft first, but after a week with no response I posted here. On my desktop the system runs very slowly, and booting takes a long time—it hasn’t had any firmware updates since I bought it, and it was fast until about a month ago when it suddenly slowed down. I tried clearing CMOS and performing factory resets, but nothing worked. I’m considering replacing the motherboard. In short, my OS is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit OEM. If I get another identical board with the same revision, will my current OS still function, or do I need a new one?

Contact Microsoft; they’ll renew your license with a fresh agreement, I believe...
