Hey, When I'm building a new pc, I need windows... I can buy it here (netherlands) for 120 euro's or buy it for 27 euro's on kinguin.net, however this is an OEM version. Are there any drawbacks of this version of windows, except for the fact that there are no useless instructions?

Limited memory usage, no media applications allowed. Would prefer a professional or Ultimate edition.

Discussing the differences between Windows 7 retail and OEM versions. Also noting the memory restrictions—4GB for x86, 128GB for x64 non-pro, 4GB for x84, and 512GB for x64 pro.

I prefer to keep the savings myself and opt for OEM parts, even when the difference is just a couple of dollars. Especially with the 93 euro gap, it makes sense. How often do you replace your motherboard? More than how often new Windows updates appear? Probably not—unless your board fails, which only happened once in 20 years, right after UPS damaged my system during shipping.
