It's possible to project a laptop screen to another device and split the view or create separate desktops on both machines. Both laptops are running Windows 11, which supports this functionality.

Multiple Desktop allows you to maintain separate work surfaces on a single machine. This might not be the exact solution you were seeking.
Remote Desktop Connection manages desktops across several devices, presenting them in a unified window. If the built-in Windows version doesn't suit you, numerous alternatives exist—both paid and free. You can leverage the capability to view client activity as a separate display while working on a broken-screen laptop, or utilize the host machine's interface to manage the client either directly or via Mouse Without Borders.
