If timing isn't important to him, then speed becomes relevant. I understand what matters to him but my guess holds. You chose manual settings for speed and DRAM voltage, which is fine. Incorrect motherboard configurations can affect performance noticeably. I noticed your changes to the previous message about XMP/DOCP and how they might impact motherboards.

Just because you moved a Windows 10 HDD from an Intel system into a new AMD build and it functions doesn’t ensure it performs well or meets expectations. I understand your idea of manual frequency and voltage settings, letting the system determine timings—so we can verify if the CPU’s memory controller, which isn’t designed for 3200mhz, can handle it. It shouldn’t stop there; you’re missing an opportunity to maximize performance. I completely agree with @nick name on the effort needed to get the most value from the investment.
