So I've been having this issue where, after turning on my PC, it will hard freeze. Usually no BSOD (1 out of 10 times there will be a BSOD with a generic message), sometimes it happens straight away, other times it won't happen for about 10 minutes. In the time window where it does work, there's a lot of little issues, like firefox sessions crashing. But, after using the reset button on my PC, it starts up and works fine, no issues whatsoever. The issue only happens when the PC boots from being off. When it crashes, no entry is made in Event Viewer. Most of the time, a memory dump cannot be made when it crashes. When it does create a memory dump, I've looked at them and there's been different bugcheck codes each time; Bugcheck 1a, 13a, 3d, be. Here is a link to my most recent memory.dmp: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QCLPS2P...sp=sharing I've reinstalled windows, tested with different RAM, default BIOS settings, updated BIOS, downgraded BIOS, etc. Nothing has worked so far. This started before Windows 11 was available from the insider program. I'm currently using Windows 11 since I thought maybe that might fix it, but it did not. My current suspicion is the motherboard, as I have had many issues with it in the past, but unfortunately I have no other motherboard to test. It seems the system powers down quickly after a cold boot, yet fails to restart smoothly when warmed up. That suggests something is wrong with the software on the board. A BIOS refresh and CMOS reset might help. More reliable advice will likely come later.

Initially I suspected the video driver might be the problem, given AMD's reputation for issues, though it doesn't appear to be the main cause. Regarding the BIOS, I've attempted to reflash, flash a new version, and even replace an old one, but the issue remains unchanged.

New memory dump, here's the text from windbg !analyze -v It suggests a driver issue but no driver is specified. I will run driver verifier again and see what happens

I believe I located the problem. Using this hard drive dock causes crashes when the PC restarts, but not when it powers off.

Hmm, brings back that classic scene where the patient says something about pain and the doctor just tells them to stop.
