I purchased a laptop for light gaming while studying, though it's not great overall. My main focus is on CS:GO and Dota 2, but most programs freeze heavily. All drivers are current and functioning properly. It has an i7 4500U, 4GB RAM, R7 M260. I've attempted a fresh Windows 10 installation without success.

Reduce the volume? Current FPS varies by settings, and temperatures aren't typically tracked in this context.

No, I didn't adjust the detail setting.

I checked the minimum configurations, toggling V-Sync both ways, even in basic titles such as Adventure Capitalist. The stuttering still occurs.

Play a short game, then launch Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Escape). Check the resource stats: CPU usage and Physical Memory percentages. The Physical Memory shows how much RAM is currently used. With only 4 GB available, high usage can cause lag. If CPU usage is near maximum, it might be the issue. Open the Processes tab to identify which programs are consuming resources. Use the Performance tab for a real-time view of resource consumption. Review these numbers to see if your system is struggling under game load. Closing unnecessary processes during games can help free up resources and improve performance.

They don’t behave that way. I’ve tested with minimal settings and checked the GPU, CPU, and RAM usage, but there’s no noticeable lag—just occasional stutters or delays.
