This occurred multiple times, including during app installation with the browser active, while extracting a .rar file and browsing, and once when updating Windows updates. The most recent instance followed a full OS reinstall, running several .reg files, removing pre-installed apps, setting up some Windows configurations, installing motherboard and GPU drivers, connecting to the internet, and clicking "check for updates." Upon clicking "Install," the system froze with the mouse disappearing briefly before resuming.

In the Device Manager there are two "unknown device" entries. It turns out I needed to install SteelSeries GG, which suggests the issue might be related to that app not being installed. I'll update later if necessary.
