I'm confused about my computer. As an IT professional, I've already handled basic troubleshooting—removed all unnecessary USB devices, went straight to the essential hardware like the SSD, CPU, and so on. When I try to boot, sometimes the motherboard lights up for the GPU on the diagnostic LEDs, and during startup I see a white underscore in the top-right corner. Resetting seems to fix it. Recently, someone suggested it might be a driver problem. I've tried DDU and installed the Studio driver, which is generally more reliable. I also turned off Fast Boot to ensure the driver loads from storage on startup. Still, the problem keeps happening occasionally. It doesn't always occur during boot, but I'm unsure of the cause. I'd like to see the logs while the system boots up, similar to Linux. I'm aware my RAM model is Corsair Vengeance LPX, which sometimes has XMP issues with Ryzen (the specs below). I disabled XMP and lowered the clock speed to 3000Mhz just to be safe. I suspect it might be a motherboard or CPU issue. I also performed a full Windows reinstall, and everything seems fine since my servers have backups and no critical data was lost. The 2080 Super has the latest firmware, and after a reset it works properly. The BIOS was updated, the CPU, GPU, and SSD were repositioned or replaced. Any advice would be appreciated.
Issues with dirty PCIe ports or loose seating on the card might indicate a small connection problem between the motherboard and graphics card.
Replaced the GPU completely, as noted earlier, and it functions properly after pressing the reset button. It would have been nice to have a backup GPU or onboard graphics available for testing at that time.
