Hey, my system experiences unexpected crashes randomly, sometimes accompanied by a BSOD code FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE. Other times it restarts on its own. I've checked for corrupt files, driver issues, and updated everything—BIOS to the latest version, GPU drivers fresh. The problem seems to occur mainly while gaming, though it has happened with regular apps like Chrome and Spotify too. I suspect stress from heavy workloads might trigger shutdowns, but my CPU and memory tests with CPU burner 2.0, R20 Cinebench, and GPU tests with Unigine Heaven showed normal performance. No overheating issues detected—CPU stays below 85% under stress, GPU under 80%. If you have more details, feel free to share. Also, when I try to create a backup, the 'assess' feature is denied, even though I'm an admin. I also encounter errors like My PC WIN 10 Pro 64bit CPU: i7 9700k MOBO: MSI z390 gaming plus Memory: HyperX 16gb 3200mhz GPU: RTX 2070 super MSI Ventus OC Storage: 970 pro Samsung, 2tb wb blue hard drive 750PSU corsair 80+ gold Gigabyte or MSI wireless cards (prices around 40-50 AUD).

My initial thought seems incorrect. Have you executed the command prompt as administrator: chkdsk /f /r? After that, run DISM to ensure Windows isn't severely damaged: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth then DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. If those steps fail, consider using two 8GB sticks—start with the primary one, then switch to the backup slot—to eliminate any hardware issues.

I completed the check disk on my C drive, also ran DISM and Online cleanup but didn’t run the scan. I’ll handle the memory adjustment once I’m back home. Thanks!

I run a stability test on my backup file, but I’m not sure what the results mean. My computer has been having occasional crashes, though they’re becoming less common.
