I assembled my first PC about six months ago and it has been working perfectly until now. I've been playing the old Assassin's Creed titles and recently in Brotherhood I'm experiencing crashes frequently. These are sporadic but the most recent one was a BSOD. I haven't had any issues with other games, except for Destiny 2. Checking the event viewer showed the latest event was ID 10016 (BSOD during AC Brotherhood). I'm generally tech-savvy, but this situation is beyond my expertise. It might be that the older game is problematic on modern operating systems and hardware, even though I've played many other games without problems—except for some GPU issues with COD. I have PBO enabled for my R7 5800 non x. Any suggestions or troubleshooting tips would be appreciated.
Run monitor at 60hz, limit frame rate to 59 with VSync enabled. Notes on capping frame rate and additional tips. If smart access memory is active in BIOS, consider disabling it for this game.
