Occasional system restart during gameplay or 3D applications
Start your computer with a demanding workload such as a CPU stress test while running something intensive. Monitor the PSU fan speed and temperature. If the fan isn't spinning properly or is excessively hot, it may indicate a problem. Additionally, consider that the PSU could be failing and might need replacement. Corsair RM750 gold PSUs are affordable options without being costly.
The system has been refreshed to the newest AMI BIOS 7C56v1B version from the MSI website. A shutdown occurred both before and during the update, with a RAM image attached afterward. To locate your PSU model, check your power supply documentation or manufacturer specifications.
Verify the PSU fan performance—don’t assume it’s normal. I recommended running a CPU/GPU stress test to confirm. If the fans aren’t spinning, replace the PSU.
Label on the power supply or box. Two single sticks, distinct versions—both Micron but different. If Ryzen doesn’t accept something, it means RAM must match. Check each stick in slot A2 separately; for a 32GB setup, you need a matched pair of 16GB units.
Confirmed everything functions properly. No shutdowns occurred, and the fans are operating correctly on the PSU. Temperatures stayed below 75°C during testing. If the fan isn’t spinning, it might be time to replace it.
This resolves the issue... I'm relieved... Only a few hours have passed with smooth gaming without problems. The Rams versions are working well—3.43 and 3.44 RAM sticks. Initial setup used A2 with 3.44v and B2 with 3.43V. Random shutdowns stopped, and I can play without restarting. Max sessions were about 20 minutes per stick. Both setups functioned properly. Thanks for the help!
