OS: Windows 11 x64 (upgraded from Windows 10)
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900HX
Motherboard: Asus X570 Crosshair Impact (BIOS unknown, investigation ongoing)
RAM: 2x16 GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3600MHz 16-19-19-39 (DOCP enabled)
GPU: EVGA 2080Ti (driver 536.99)
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB → swapped for AORUS NVMe Gen4 SSD 1TB (issue continues)
Aquacomputer quadro plus several water cooling components in an Ncase M1 with moderate to poor airflow.
System stability monitor is still active.
Updates will be posted once completed. Failures occur unpredictably; BSOD appears quickly and vanishes, making it hard to read codes.
Occurs intermittently—often during gameplay (e.g., Anno 1800), sometimes crashes while browsing (just watching YouTube).
Performed stress tests with Furmark and Prime95 for 30 minutes but no shutdown.
Swapped SSD after repeated overheating reports; crashes also happened during Steam updates, not while actively using the PC.
Need to verify if the issue remains with default clocks.
GPU reset planned; RAM will be checked during next BIOS reboot.
How can I reinstall Windows while preserving my files? I’d like to try that.
You can choose to "reset windows" while retaining your files and applications. But based on my experience, this hasn't resolved any issues. I recommend backing up your data to an additional drive or SSD and then installing Windows from a fresh installation media for a clean setup.
I don't suggest using the "reset my PC" feature to attempt fixes, since from my experience it rarely resolves issues. I recommend reinstalling Windows with a fresh installation media (such as a USB drive). While frequent blue screens might relate to hardware problems, the ones you're describing appear random, making hardware issues less likely. If the problem persists after reinstallation, it’s likely a hardware concern.
Visit C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any minidump files exist. If present, return to the Windows directory and transfer the Minidump folder to the Downloads folder (use your desktop if needed). Compress the copied folder and include it in a post. Please adhere strictly to instructions since Windows doesn't allow file changes there.

From the error message, it looks like a RAM issue occurred. I’ll attempt to reset it back to 3400 and check if that resolves the problem.
It seems this relates to storage and memory concepts. Having additional dump files would be useful. The page file often blurs the line between storage and RAM.
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately there for only one dump file (when I look at the date now it is from march. Anything else I can run? SysnativeBSODCollectionApp gets stuck at "Waiting for SystemInfo". SMART data on the primary 980 Pro 1TB says the drive should be healthy though. I have a drive at hand I could swap out. I pulled back the RAM to 3400 from 3600 DOCP profile. I played games yesterday night for a few hours without any crashing. If the issue doesn't come back I'll call it on the RAM ...
