If these speeds aren't compatible with 1.35V, your RAM might be faulty. DDR4-2400 should function properly at 1.2V and perform well at 1.35V without issues. I don’t see much information about the "GeIL" brand, but the Newegg page for one of their products doesn’t seem trustworthy. It appears the failure rate was very high with older models. It’s possible your CPU’s memory controller is failing, though since your previous RAM worked, that’s unlikely. Would you like to return the RAM?
I don't believe my RAM is faulty. It seems to function properly with just one stick at 3200MHz and 1.35V, but not when using two sticks. Both sticks seem to work in the first slot under those conditions. Maybe the issue lies with the RAM slot itself.
@YoungBlade It might be my CPU's memory controller that's failing, which worries me since I found similar issues online. The first Reddit post I checked showed the same problem as mine. He couldn't run two RAM sticks but only one, and there were many error codes and crashes too.
It's feasible. If it works, it would be disappointing since the board likely no longer has warranty coverage—especially if you purchased it when the 2600X was brand new. Running a single stick in the second slot might ease the load on the memory controller compared to dual channel operation. However, it's also possible the issue lies solely with that channel within the controller. Since Ryzen CPUs come with a three-year warranty, timing matters; you might be eligible for replacement depending on your purchase date. The positive aspect is that if it's a CPU fault, it could be preferable to the motherboard being the source of the problem. When I power on the second stick it fails to start, showing a black screen. The RGB lighting stays active. I experienced this even with my previous RAM, suggesting the primary slot needs a RAM chip. I purchased the CPU around 2021, intending to have it inspected later. Right now I can't upgrade due to financial constraints from inflation; my family is struggling. The PC was bought in 2020 for a very low price and came with a prebuilt motherboard and integrated graphics. I upgraded RAM, CPU, and GPU myself, so the only parts likely still under warranty are the CPU and GPU.
